O relatório de estágio, realizado no Serviço de Patologia Clínica do Hospital Nossa
Senhora da Assunção de Seia, bem como o estudo desenvolvido, relatam os
conhecimentos teóricos e práticos, adquiridos ao longo de nove meses.
Milhões de pessoas apresentam deficiência de vitamina D, uma vitamina que pode ser
obtida através da alimentação ou através da sua síntese, na pele. Por se tratar de uma
deficiência de vitamina que afeta grande parte da população, torna-se essencial o estudo
da mesma. Deste modo, foi avaliada a deficiência de vitamina D nos utentes do serviço,
no período de janeiro de 2022 a dezembro de 2023, tendo sido também analisadas quais
as patologias associadas aos portadores de défice de vitamina D. Os dados foram
recolhidos recorrendo aos sistemas informáticos Modulab® e SClínico®, e a análise
estatística realizada fazendo uso do Microsoft Office Excel e GraphPad Prism 10. A
quantificação dos valores de vitamina D foi realizada com recurso ao imunoensaio de
quimioluminescência Alinity i 25-OH Vitamin D da Abbott®. Neste estudo observou-se
que 82,10% da população em estudo apresenta hipovitaminose D, enquanto 50,49%
apresentavam deficiência de vitamina D. Nos portadores de deficiência de vitamina D,
foi possível observar-se 31 patologias, entre as quais hipertensão arterial, artrose,
diabetes mellitus, doenças cardíacas, cancro, entre outras.
The internship report details the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during a nine-month at the Clinical Pathology Service of Hospital Nossa Senhora da Assunção in Seia, as well as the conducted study. Given that a significant portion of the population suffers from vitamin D deficiency, it is crucial to thoroughly examine it. Therefore, the vitamin D deficiency was evaluated among service users from January 2022 to December 2023, and the associated pathologies were also identified. The data was collected using the Modulab® and SClinico® computer systems. Statistical analysis was performed using Microsoft Office Excel and GraphPad Prism 10. Vitamin D values were determined using Abbott's Alinity i 25-OH Vitamin D chemiluminescence immunoassay. The study revealed that 82.10% of the population presented hypovitaminosis D, with 50.49% showing vitamin D deficiency. Among those with vitamin D deficiency, 31 different pathologies were observed, including arterial hypertension, osteoarthritis, diabetes mellitus, heart disease, and cancer, among others.
