Abstract(s)
O estacionamento é um serviço que a cada dia se torna mais importante e uma figura
cada vez mais presente na paisagem urbana. No entanto, está comprovado que o aumento do
número disponível dos lugares de estacionamento provoca um aumento significativo do tráfego rodoviário e uma diminuição da qualidade de vida dos habitantes das cidades.
Com o aumento da taxa de motorização, um dos grandes problemas dos condutores é
justamente o de encontrar um lugar para estacionar, pelo que a definição de utilizadores preferenciais para a oferta de estacionamento existente e o incentivo à utilização de transportes mais sustentáveis constitui um aspecto fundamental das políticas de estacionamento.
No caso em estudo apresentado é caracterizada a oferta e a procura de estacionamento de um equipamento de grandes dimensões, o Hospital Pêro da Covilhã, o que permitiu identificar os problemas de estacionamento existentes e definir vários cenários de intervenção sobre a oferta actual e futura de forma a beneficiar um conjunto de utilizadores
preferenciais (utentes do serviço de saúde e visitas).

However, is proved that the increase in the number of parking spaces creates a significant increase of the road traffic and a decrease in life quality of the citizens. With the increase of the motorization rate, one of the biggest problems to drivers is find a place to park, so the definition of preferred users to the available parking places and the incentive to the use of sustainable transports constitute a fundamental aspect of parking policies. In the present study is characterized the supply and demand of parking in a large structure, the Hospital Pêro da Covilhã, which permits to identify the parking problems existing and define scenarios of intervention of the actual and future supply as way to benefit a set of preferred users (heath service users and visits).
