Abstract(s)
Este trabalho de investigação, subordinado ao tema, O Desenvolvimento da Competência Metalinguística na Aprendizagem da Língua Estrangeira (Um contributo de Supervisão Pedagógica) surge no âmbito do Mestrado em Letras, apresentado à Universidade da Beira Interior. O estudo, por sua vez, enquadra-se no âmbito da didáctica da Língua Estrangeira. Para além de aclarar conceitos relacionados com a metalinguística e a metacognição, privilegia uma relação de causa/efeito entre a competência em leitura e a aprendizagem de uma língua segunda, onde o que se aprende e o como se aprende trilham caminhos paralelos.
This research work entitled The Development of Metalinguistic Competence while learning a Foreign Language (a contribution of Pedagogical Supervision) was done in order to obtain the Master of Arts degree, presented to the University of Beira Interior. This work fits in the sphere of action of the didactics of a Foreign Language. Besides clarifying concepts related to metalinguistics and metacognition, it favours a cause/effect relationship between the ability in reading and learning a second language, where what is learned and how is learned follow parallel ways.
