Abstract(s)
O ambiente educativo é definido por tudo aquilo que se passa na sala de aula, na faculdade,
na instituição, englobando assim características físicas, sociais, tecnológicas e psicológicas.
Tanto os aspetos positivos como os aspetos negativos do ambiente educativo vão ter
influência sobre como o aluno se sente na sua escola médica. Deste modo, a forma como o
ambiente educativo é percecionado pelos alunos tem um impacto profundo neste e na sua
formação, nomeadamente nos seus resultados académicos e profissionais, na sua
motivação, no seu bem-estar e na sua qualidade de vida. Por estas razões, demonstrou-se
relevante avaliar qual a perceção dos alunos de medicina da Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde
quanto ao seu ambiente educativo. Com essa finalidade, aplicou-se um questionário aos
alunos de medicina que tinham concluído o 3º ano curricular, ao longo de 7 anos letivos
(2014/15 até 2020/21). Em geral, os resultados foram bastante positivos e demonstraram
que os alunos de medicina da Universidade da Beira Interior têm uma perceção bastante
boa do seu ambiente educativo. Porém, existem ainda áreas que requerem melhoria, tendose destacado sobretudo a área da investigação, na qual os alunos demonstraram sentir falta
de oportunidades e de motivação. Através da avaliação da perceção dos alunos do seu
ambiente educativo é possível identificar quais as áreas onde as medidas de melhoria a
aplicar são mais urgentes e posteriormente, através da aplicação de questionários, avaliar
se as medidas implementadas tiveram impacto na opinião dos alunos.
The educational environment is defined by everything that happens in the classroom, the faculty, the institution, and it includes physical, social, technological and psychological features. Both positive and negative aspects of the educational environment have an influence on how the students feel about their medical school. In this way, how the educational environment is perceived by the students has a deep impact on them and their formation, namely in their academic and professional outcomes, their motivation, wellbeing and quality of life. For these reasons, it is relevant to evaluate the perception of the medical students of Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde about their educational environment. For this purpose, it was applied a questionnaire to the students who have finished the third academic year, over the course of seven years (2014/15-2020/21). In general, the results of this study were quite positive and it showed that the medical students of Universidade da Beira Interior have a very good perception of their educational environment. However, there are some areas that need improvement, particularly the area of research, in which students feel like they don’t have enough opportunities and don’t feel motivated. By assessing students’ perception of their educational environment, it’s possible to identify the most urgent measures that need to be applied and later on, through the application of the same questionaries, assess whether the implemented measures had an impact on the students' opinion.
