Abstract(s)
O presente relatório surge na sequência do estágio realizado na rádio Alto Minho FM
durante seis meses (21 de setembro de 2020 a 19 de março de 2021), e que teve como
principal objetivo o desenvolvimento de uma investigação sobre a relação entre as
rádios locais e o podcasting.
Considerando a importância que as rádios locais tiveram, em termos históricos, e
continuam ainda a ter, no país, nomeadamente em termos da proximidade que
permitem estabelecer com as comunidades, neste relatório procuramos perceber de
que forma estes meios de comunicação se adaptaram às mudanças introduzidas pelas
novas tecnologias e às novas possibilidades criadas pela Internet. Analisamos em
particular as potencialidades do podcasting, que uns consideram apenas uma nova
forma de partilha de conteúdos, enquanto outros o entendem como um novo medium
criativo, dotado de características particulares.
Através da realização do estágio na já referida Alto Minho FM, e utilizando esta rádio
como estudo de caso, tentamos perceber a importância que é atribuída aos podcasts no
contexto da produção radiofónica desta rádio local.
Para além da observação participante realizada durante o estágio, procedemos também
a uma análise da grelha de programação e dos podcasts produzidos, tendo ainda
realizado entrevistas junto dos responsáveis e animadores da emissora radiofónica. A
utilização de diferentes técnicas de recolhas de dados permitiu-nos perceber que os
podcasts já fazem parte da estratégia da rádio Alto Minho FM, apesar de a sua
utilização ainda ser limitada, uma vez que se encontra sobretudo ligada à própria
programação, ou seja, os podcasts resultam de uma replicação de conteúdos.
This report follows the internship held at Alto Minho FM radio for six months (21 September 2020 to 19 March 2021). Its main objective was to develop an investigation into the relationship between local radios and podcasting. Considering the importance that local radios had, in historical terms, and continue to have, in the country, namely in terms of the proximity they allow to establish with the communities, in this report we seek to understand how these media have adapted to the changes introduced by new technologies and the new possibilities created by the Internet. We analyze the potential of podcasting, which some consider just a new way of sharing content. In contrast, others understand it as a new creative medium endowed with particular characteristics. Through an internship at the Alto Minho FM mentioned above and using this radio as a case study, we tried to understand the importance attributed to podcasts in the context of the radio production of this local radio. In addition to the participant observation carried out during the internship, we also analyzed the program schedule and the podcasts produced, having conducted interviews with the responsible and animators of the radio station. The use of different data collection techniques allowed us to realize that podcasts are already part of the Alto Minho FM radio strategy. However, their use is still limited, as it is mainly linked to the programming itself; that is, podcasts result from a replication of content.
