Abstract(s)
A presente investigação
Racial microaggressions are a type of aggression that has been increasingly studied with a potential impact on the physical and mental health of victims. The present investigation aimed to carry out a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), following PRISMA recommendations, within the scope of the relationship between racial microaggressions and health in students attending higher education, based on a Clinical and Health Psychology analysis framework. After a careful selection and analysis process, 13 articles were selected to integrate the SLR. Starting from a thematic analysis of the articles, the SLR results were organized considering two main themes: studies whose results address a relationship between racial microaggressions and the health of higher education students and studies that address variables that have a moderating role in the relationship between racial microaggressions and the health of higher education students. Relevant data was found about the negative impact of racial microaggressions on the physical and mental health of higher education students and about the potential role, not always linear, of some variables in moderating the negative effects of racial microaggressions.
