Abstract(s)
o desempenho no equilĂbrio dinĂąmico.
As part of the master's degree in Sports Science, in the field of Exercise and Health, an internship in gym intervention was carried out during the 2023/2024 academic year. With the internship, which took place in the context of the gym of Unidos Futebol Clube Tortosendo, the aim was to develop the knowledge and skills inherent to the role of Gym and Cardiofitness Instructor, as well as personal trainer intervention. A brief intervention was also made at the level of physical preparation of the club's senior teams. Among the interventions carried out during the school year, we can highlight the performance of tasks related to planning, organizing, conducting, and evaluating clients' training. In addition to programming, guiding, and conducting training sessions, the intervention included very close interaction with the client, with constant technical and postural corrections, as well as attendance reports and monitoring of registrations. With the completion of the internship, it was possible to develop and acquire new knowledge of the care and attention that the instructor should consider in the planning, guidance, and conduct of all clients' training. During the internship, a research project was developed with the aim of analyzing the effects of an 8-week training program, comparing its performance two or five times a week, on dynamic balance through the Y-Balance test. The research results showed that training frequency can significantly affect performance in dynamic balance. The results suggest that a higher number of weekly training sessions is more effective in improving dynamic balance as evaluated by the Y-Balance test. Furthermore, asymmetries were only significantly reduced in the group that trained more frequently, suggesting a potential benefit in injury prevention, as imbalances in dynamic balance are associated with an increased risk of injuries.
