O projecto artístico de João Pedro Vale e Nuno Alexandre Ferreira inicia-se no final da década de 1990, a partir de um firme compromisso social: tem tanto de paródia como tem de imitação burlesca do sério. Interpreta os dados exteriores sociais e políticos, na sua investigação formal e conceptual, tentando afastar-se das recusas, por antecipação a eventuais processos de rejeição e censura, particularmente na questão homofóbica, recorrente na sua produção.
