A tese trata da relaĆ§Ć£o estreita e complexa entre religiĆ£o e sociedade, objetivando
compreender e analisar, sociologicamente, os fatores sociais e religiosos determinantes Ć
reestruturaĆ§Ć£o institucional de um convento franciscano catĆ³lico feminino (IrmĆ£s
Franciscanas MissionƔrias de Maria Auxiliadora - IFMMA) na contemporaneidade. O arcabouƧo
teĆ³rico que acompanhou a elaboraĆ§Ć£o deste estudo Ć© constituĆdo pelas teses dos principais
sociĆ³logos clĆ”ssicos e modernos quando tematizam a discussĆ£o sociolĆ³gica contemporĆ¢nea,
com enfoques nas funƧƵes sociais da religiĆ£o (Durkheim, Weber, Marx, Bourdieu e Berger),
construtos da compreensĆ£o estrutural pĆ³s-burocrĆ”tica das organizaƧƵes numa perspectiva
weberiana e a trajetĆ³ria institucional (Hall e Taylor). O estudo foi investigativo qualitativo,
com dados coletados a partir de entrevistas semiestruturadas e presenciais com membros
representantes da InstituiĆ§Ć£o Religiosa (IR), observaĆ§Ć£o participante, notas do diĆ”rio de
campo e documentos institucionais com a representatividade de todos os membros. A anƔlise
realizada por narrativa reflexiva e categorias conceituais apontou que o processo de
reestruturaĆ§Ć£o e o posicionamento estĆ£o amplamente direcionados pelos fatores sociais e
religiosos, os quais podem agir associadamente para contribuir Ć busca de alternativas para o
reposicionamento da missĆ£o institucional. HĆ” tensƵes entre os membros referentes Ć
perspectiva de futuro. Ć unĆ¢nime o entendimento sobre a necessidade de mudanƧa, mesmo
constando resistĆŖncias. PorĆ©m, o sistema de regras, contornos, os padrƵes simbĆ³licos e o
estado de anomia institucional faz com que a mudanƧa tenha ĆŖnfases ad intra, numa
perspectiva virtuosa, mas estrutural. Sopesa a necessidade de pensar o reconhecimento aos
membros da contemporaneidade que seguem as IR, mediante carreiras profissionais
significativas para missƵes, para que se sintam valorizados na sua doaĆ§Ć£o diante das
contrariedades impostas pelos fatores sociais atuais. O modelo atual de vida missionĆ”ria nĆ£o
responde e nĆ£o possui mais credibilidade. Pode-se afirmar que a instituiĆ§Ć£o religiosa terĆ” um
novo habitus e um novo habitus de religiosos, uma forma de vida com uma Ć³tica de impacto
abrangente para mundo e com soluƧƵes alternativas em conjunto, universais para a
sobrevivĆŖncia e a sustentabilidade da humanidade. As religiosas das novas geraƧƵes serĆ£o
mais inspiradas no que as une do que as separa. SerĆ£o pluralistas, ecumĆŖnicas, cientistas e
ousadas Ć mendicĆ¢ncia de Francisco ou Ć pobreza de Clara de Assis. TerĆ£o a vivĆŖncia moderna
de uma economia racional consciente, circulante e solidƔria para a vida, a justiƧa social, a
paz e o bem, como compromissos revisitados para viver a consagraĆ§Ć£o no contexto moderno.
A fundamentaĆ§Ć£o, marco jurĆdico, para esta forma de vida serĆ” ReinocĆŖntrica.
The thesis is about the close and complex relationship between religion and society, aiming at understanding and analyzing, sociologically, the social and religious factors determining to the institutional restructuration of a Franciscan female catholic convent (IrmĆ£s Franciscanas MissionĆ”rias de Maria Auxiliadora ā IFMMA) in the contemporary world. The theoretical framework that followed the preparation of this study is constituted of the theses of the main classical and modern sociologists when they broach the contemporary sociological discussion, focusing on the social functions of the religion (Durkheim, Weber, Marx, Bourdieu e Berger), constructs of the post-bureaucratic structural understanding of the organizations in a Weberian perspective, and the institutional trajectory (Hall and Taylor). The study was qualitative investigative, with data collected from semi-structured and live interviews with members representing the Religious Institution (RI), participating observation, notes from the field diary, and institutional documents with the representativity of all members. The analysis performed by reflexive narrative and conceptual categories pointed out that the restructuration process and the positioning are widely directed by the social and religious factors, which can act connectedly in order to contribute to the search for alternatives for the repositioning of the institutional mission. There are tensions between the members regarding the perspective of future. It is unanimous the understanding about the need for change, even if there are resistances. However, the system of rules, contouring, the symbolic patterns and the state of institutional anomy ensure that the change has emphasis ad intra, in a virtuous but structural perspective. It ponders the necessity of thinking the recognition to the members of the contemporaneity that follow the RI, upon professional careers significative for the missions, so that they feel valued in their donation against the setbacks imposed by the current social factors. The current model of missionary life does not respond nor has credibility anymore. It is possible to affirm that the religious institution will have a new habitus and a new habitus of religionists, a way of life with an impact vision extensive to the world and with collaborative alternative solutions, universal for the survival and sustainability of the human kind. The religionists of the new generation will be more inspired by what unites them than by what separates them. They will be pluralists, ecumenic, scientists, and bold to the beggary of Francisco or to the poverty of Clara de Assis. They will have the modern living of a conscious rational economy, circulating and solidary for life, the social justice, peace and well-being, as revisited commitments to live the consecration in the modern context. The grounding, legal framework, for this way of life will be Reinocentric.
