Os avanços na inteligência artificial e no processamento de linguagem natural estão a
revolucionar a interação entre pacientes e profissionais de saúde pelo uso de ferramentas
conversacionais digitais. Mais conhecidos como chatbots, estes agentes têm vindo a ter
um papel crescente na prestação de cuidados médicos com potencial para educar,
envolver e apoiar pacientes ao longo das suas jornadas de saúde. Através da análise das
suas aplicações e potencialidades, a presente literatura explora como os chatbots podem
melhorar a acessibilidade, eficiência e personalização dos serviços de saúde. Desafios
éticos e questões como privacidade e segurança dos dados dos utilizadores, são
abordadas, destacando a importância de medidas robustas para garantir a confiança e a
eficácia destas tecnologias. Com uma implementação responsável, os chatbots podem
transformar significativamente os serviços médicos, proporcionando um atendimento
mais centrado no paciente e melhorando a eficácia geral dos serviços de saúde. Este
trabalho oferece insights valiosos sobre as aplicações atuais e as direções futuras dos
chatbots na saúde.
The developments in artificial intelligence and natural language processing are revolutionizing the interaction between patients and healthcare professionals through the use of digital conversational tools. Commonly known as chatbots, these agents are playing an increasingly significant role in the delivery of medical care, with the potential to educate, engage, and support patients throughout their health journeys. By analyzing their applications and potentialities, this literature explores how chatbots can enhance the accessibility, efficiency, and personalization of healthcare services. Ethical challenges and issues such as user data privacy and security are addressed, highlighting the importance of robust measures to ensure the trust and effectiveness of these technologies.
