O estudo versa sobre a questão do feminino, primeiramente num âmbito mais
geral, caminhando posteriormente para Pepetela, mais particularmente para o romance
intitulado Lueji — o Nascimento dum Império, para a mulher em Angola e, em
particular, para a mulher nas Lundas. A referência principal do trabalho centra-se na
rainha Lueji, do referido romance, uma mulher que, com eficácia e bravura, soube lutar
não só pela identidade angolana no feminino, mas também por uma determinada
realidade que, posteriormente, a colonização quase destruiu em nome de uma
hegemonia, sem respeito pela cultura de um povo, o de Angola. Um conjunto de
entrevistas remete para a realidade, enquanto testemunhos vivos e posteriormente
interpretados. O conceito de cultura, com todas as premissas que lhe estão associadas,
muito particularmente no referente ao universo feminino, será transversal ao estudo.
The study deals with the issue of the feminine, first in a more general scope, moving later to Pepetela, more particularly to the novel entitled Lueji — the Birth of an Empire, for women in Angola and, in particular, for women in Lunda’s. The main reference of the work focuses on Queen Lueji, from the aforementioned novel, a woman who, with efficiency and bravery, knew how to fight not only for the Angolan identity in the female, but also for a certain reality that, later, colonization almost destroyed in name of a hegemony, without respect for the culture of a people, that of Angola. A set of interviews refer to reality, as live testimonies and later interpreted. The concept of culture, with all the assumptions associated with it, particularly with regard to the female universe, will be transversal to the study.
