Esta dissertação tem como tema “A Repercussão Mediática da sentença do processo Casa Pia” cujo principal objectivo é perceber a abordagem feita por dois jornais online na cobertura da leitura do acórdão da sentença do Processo Casa Pia. A base do nosso estudo centra-se na análise desta sentença por ser o culminar de anos de processo e pelo grande impacto social e atracção mediática em volta deste caso. Estabelecendo uma comparação entre um jornal mais popular e outro de referência tentamos perceber as formas de abordagem e os destaques conferidos, e ainda a utilização dada às potencialidades do webjornalismo na noticiabilidade conferida ao caso.
The here present master thesis entitled “Media Coverage of the Casa Pia Process Court Ruling” intends to understand the approaches directed by two online newspapers at the court ruling coverage of the Casa Pia Process. This study is based on the analysis of the court ruling as the highlight of the long lasting process and by its huge social impact and media coverage around it. Establishing a comparison between a popular journal and one of great reference we try to understand their approach methods and the main highlights taken by the media, as well as the uses given to the web journalism’s potential at the newsworthiness granted to the process.
