Abstract(s)
Natural disasters are usually unpredictable phenomena. It is impossible to control some with the destructive force greater than the others. With advances in technology, it is already possible to predict their occurrence, but it is not possible to stop these phenomena. Natural disasters are present all over the world, they devastate underdeveloped countries and even developed ones. Angola is a country where a good part of the population lives in precarious conditions, the majority living in musseques and in risk areas, many of these areas are affected by natural disasters, which cause enormous destruction, leaving some people homeless and others ending up even for losing his life due to its impact and gravity. In this context, the present work will be carried out in Luanda, the capital of Angola, which has suffered several floods caused by seasonal rains, the lack of basic sanitation with the necessary capacity to capture water, or the lack of maintenance of the systems, among other factors. Given the described problem, the present work has as its main objective to propose postdisaster housing, with the ability to respond quickly to relocation situations due to natural disasters in the city of Luanda, Angola. It is intended to design a modular, sustainable construction project adapted to the conditions and availability of local materials, which responds to the housing needs in the Angolan context, by the local way of life and habits. The proposal should consider its location in urban areas and remote areas, contemplating isolated solutions or living in a community.
