Esta dissertação aborda a temática da energia numa perspectiva da introdução de inteligência
nas redes eléctricas, que está a dar origem a uma nova geração de redes – as smart grids.
A dissertação faz uma caracterização inicial deste contexto em mudança, ao que se segue
uma resenha sobre a evolução das teorias de grandezas eléctricas, nomeadamente potências,
e ainda um levantamento das tecnologias de comunicação mais empregues neste sector.
O trabalho de desenvolvimento consiste na montagem e programação de um equipamento
modular de aquisição de grandezas eléctricas e na elaboração de uma aplicação informática
que permita importar estes dados, armazená-los e analisá-los.
Finalmente, são realizados ensaios para validar o funcionamento deste equipamento de medida, particularmente no que diz respeito à potência reactiva, em ambientes com distorção harmónica.
This dissertation approaches the issues of energy from the perspective of the introduction of intelligence in the electrical grid, which is giving rise to a new generation of grids – the smart grids. The dissertation start with a description of this changing context, to which follows a review of the evolution of the theories on electrical quantities, such as powers, and yet a survey of the communication technologies most used at this appliances. The development work consists in assembling and programing a modular device of acquisition of electrical quantities and developing a computer interface that allows to import this data, store it and analyze it. Finally, some experiments are performed in order to assess the accuracy of this measurement device, namely concerning the reactive power, in environments containing harmonic distortion.
