Este trabalho visa abordar a temática dos assentamentos em estacas. Dada a sua importância
no conceito das fundações, este assunto tem vindo a ser estudado cada vez mais, no ramo da
geotecnia.
Tomou-se como alvo de estudo as metodologias existentes na bibliografia geotécnica para
avaliar os assentamentos em estacas isoladas. Para integrar este tema inicialmente
apresenta-se uma breve exposição sobre a sua importância bem como a forma de classificar
as estacas por tipos. Seguidamente apresenta-se de forma sucinta alguns elementos sobre o
dimensionamento de estacas, passando-se então a focar o principal tema deste trabalho.
Tendo em conta o vasto formulário existente para determinar os assentamentos em estacas
isoladas, optou-se por salientar apenas alguns autores, cujas expressões são mais
tradicionalmente aplicadas. Após a exposição e explicação das metodologias segue-se a
aplicação das mesmas. Para tal estudaram-se alguns exemplos de diferentes tipos de estacas
construídas em diferentes tipos de solos. A fim de verificar a veracidade das expressões,
compararam-se os diferentes resultados obtidos neste trabalho, através das expressões
citadas, com os assentamentos reais obtidos em ensaios de carga em estacas coligidos da
literatura geotécnica.
This work aims to study the thematic of piles settlements. Given its importance in the concept of foundations, this subject has been studied increasingly in the field of geotechnical engineering. The existing geotechnical literature methodologies to assess the settlements of a single pile were taken as the target of this study. To integrate this theme initially presents a brief statement about its importance and how to classify piles by types. Following is succinctly presented some elements about piles design, moving then to focus on the main theme of this work. Given the vast form existing to determine the settlements of a single pile, was chosen to highlight only a few authors, whose expressions are traditionally more applied. After exposure and explanation of methodologies, its implementation followed. To this were studied examples of different kinds of piles constructed in different types of soil. In order to verify the accuracy of the expressions, we compared the different results obtained in this work, through the expressions cited, with real settlements obtained from piles load tests collected on geotechnical literature.
