Abstract(s)
Face ao crescente aumento de pessoas que necessitam de reabilitação física, assiste-se
também ao aumento e desenvolvimento de recursos de apoio aos indivíduos com um qualquer
tipo de incapacidade, os quais visam uma melhoria da sua qualidade de vida. Deste modo,
traçam-se novas estratégias com o objectivo de proporcionar uma vida com mais
independência e/ou autonomia, independentemente da extensão da sua lesão. Os
equipamentos médicos são um dos componentes dos serviços de saúde que mais têm
contribuído para a melhoria do diagnóstico e da terapêutica de várias doenças.
Este estudo tem como objectivo investigar de que forma se pode melhorar o processo
reabilitativo dos Utentes, aquando da utilização de equipamentos de mobilização passiva, que
visam o fortalecimento dos músculos e a recuperação de capacidades perdidas. Foi escolhido
para o estudo um equipamento específico, o Active Passive Trainer (APT), sendo feito o
levantamento de todas as suas limitações, a partir de estudos directos de campo bem como
de inquéritos realizados a alguns Utentes e Profissionais de Saúde do Centro de Medicina de
Reabilitação da Região Centro – Rovisco Pais (CMRRC – RP).
Face às limitações constatadas e como proposta do estudo, apresentam-se especificações de
melhorias ao nível do software e do hardware do equipamento APT. Pretende-se que o
dispositivo responda às principais necessidades do Utente durante o seu processo
reabilitativo, contribuindo para melhores resultados terapêuticos e procurando oferecer-lhe
uma melhor adaptação, conforto e autonomia.
Given the growing number of people that need physical rehabilitation, there also has been an increase and development of support resources to individuals with some form of disability, which will improve their life quality. Thus, new strategies are drawn up in order to provide a more independent life and/or autonomy, regardless of the extent of their injury. Medical equipments are an important part of a health service and contribute to a better diagnosis and therapeutics of several illnesses. The purpose of this study is to investigate how we can improve the rehabilitation process of patients using passive mobilization devices whose aim is to strength muscles and restore the lost capabilities. It was chosen in this study an specific equipment, the Active Passive Trainer (APT), being all its limitations evaluated, from direct field studies and surveys to patients and health professionals of the “Centro de Medicina de Reabilitação da Região Centro – Rovisco Pais (CMRRC – RP)”. Being constrains identified and as proposal of this study, it are specified the improvements in software and hardware of the APT equipment. It is intended that the device meets the main needs of patient during their rehabilitation process, contributing to better therapeutic results and trying to offer him a better adaptation, comfort and autonomy
