Este trabalho encontra-se dividido em três capítulos principais. O primeiro capítulo descreve o trabalho de investigação relativo à formulação de nanopartículas para administração nasal. O segundo e o terceiro capítulos incidem sobre os estágios efetuados em Farmácia Comunitária e Farmácia Hospitalar respetivamente.
O primeiro capítulo é intitulado por “Nanopartículas na entrega eficaz e segura de fármacos ao cérebro por via nasal”. O objetivo deste estudo foi realizar uma análise das estratégias de formulação, dos dados de farmacocinética e segurança pré-clínicos de um subgrupo de nanosistemas (lipossomas, nanopartículas poliméricas, nanopartículas lipídicas sólidas, e micelas poliméricas) e, consequentemente perceber quais as melhores opções a considerar para potenciar a entrega eficaz e segura de agentes terapêuticos de baixo peso molecular.
O segundo capítulo descreve as atividades desenvolvidas durante o período de estágio nos Serviços Farmacêuticos do Centro Hospitalar Cova da Beira, tendo este decorrido entre os dias 26 de janeiro e 21 de março de 2015. Neste capítulo estão descritas as várias áreas onde se integra o Farmacêutico hospitalar.
O terceiro capítulo é referente ao estágio na Farmácia Ferreira Janeiro (Albergaria-a-Velha) que decorreu entre os dias 23 de março e 12 de junho de 2015. Este capítulo descreve as atividades desenvolvidas nesse período, o funcionamento da farmácia comunitária e as tarefas e responsabilidades afetas ao Farmacêutico comunitário.
This work is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter describes the research work on the formulation of nanoparticles for nasal administration. The second and third chapters focus on the internships made in Community Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy. The first chapter is entitled "Nanoparticles in the effective and safe delivery of drugs to the brain through the nose." The aim of this study was to analyze the strategies of formulation, pharmacokinetic data and preclinical safety of a nanosystems (liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles, solid lipid nanoparticles and polymeric micelles) and thus figure out the best options to enhance the effective and safe delivery of low molecular weight therapeutic agents. The second chapter describes the activities developed during the traineeship in the Pharmaceutical Services of Centro Hospitalar da Cova da Beira, between January 26th and March 21th, 2015. This chapter describes the various activities performed in daily life by a hospital pharmacist. The third chapter refers to the traineeship in Ferreira Janeiro Pharmacy (Albergaria-a-Velha) that took place between March 23th and June 12th, 2015. This chapter describes the activities developed during this period, the functioning of community pharmacy and the tasks and responsibilities of the community pharmacist.
