Abstract(s)
devido a crise climática e social. Neste contexto, muitos jovens criadores e designers
a moda.
Currently, some designers and fashion brands adopt more conscious practices in relation to the environment and human rights. This trend has been driven not only by consumer demands, but also by global concerns due to the climate and social crisis. In this context, many young creators and designers are involved in activist and social change initiatives in various areas, including fashion. They seek new approaches to the creation and production of fashion that are more sustainable, ethical and inclusive when expressing their perspectives and ideas on important social and political issues, adopting a more conscious stance in the field of fashion. The present study aims to analyze, based on discourse, the involvement of young fashion creators and designers with activist issues and evaluate their impact on national fashion. The investigation aims to provide a theoretical framework on the context of fashion and activism, then presents exploratory research, using a qualitative methodological approach, through interviews with fashion designers participating in the fashion competitions: Bloom and Sangue Novo. In this context, a detailed analysis model was built to understand the positioning and involvement of participants with activism issues. Throughout the research, relevant factors were investigated, such as the socialization process and the relationship with fashion, as well as the creative process and its relationship with the different dimensions of sustainability to understand the perceptions and expectations of designers.
