Abstract(s)
FITescola.
The following report comes within the scope of the Pedagogical Internship of the Master in Physical Education Teaching in Basic and Secondary Education, held at Campos Melo Secondary School in the academic year 2021/2022, assuming itself as the last stage of our training. The main objective of this document is to expose all the activities that were developed throughout the school year and the respective pedagogical interventions in the different teaching cycles, having inherent reflections and analysis of experiences, as well as the problems that occurred during it. Thus, initially, we will make a brief introduction to the pedagogical intervention work, followed by a contextualization of the school, the Physical Education group and all the intervention developed in the different teaching cycles, describing and justifying the decision-making on the developed planning throughout the year, namely the assessment of the contents covered. At the end, there will be a general reflection of all the work developed during the pedagogical internship. Another point of development of this work covered an investigation carried out in the school, environment, whose objective was to analyze the possible effects of a Tabata training program on students of the 12th year of Escola Secundária Campos Melo, during 11 weeks, on physical fitness levels. This study had female students as participants, the control group was composed by 17 students and the experimental group by 11 students. An exercise program based on the Tabata protocol was applied for 11 weeks and the participants' abilities were evaluated using the FITescola test battery before and after the exercise program. The results obtained showed an improvement in most of the assessed abilities (with the exception of the horizontal jump) in the experimental group compared to the control group that did not use the Tabata program. We can thus conclude that the application of the Tabata training program in Physical Education classes can contribute to the improvement of the physical fitness of the students and, in turn, in their results in FITescola.
