Desde de meados dos anos 1800 o estilo de animação stop motion vem fascinando
pessoas ao redor do mundo. E, embora em certa altura tenha se discutido a extinção dessa
técnica, o estilo continuou firme em sua trajetória e trabalho árduo. A produção da curta de
animação em stop motion Malluma não é diferente, e se apoia nessa dedicação para trazer o
projeto á vida; munidas de muitas horas de trabalho e muita paciência, pensámos em uma
história, fabricamos dois cenários e passámos muitas horas imersas nas rotinas de fotografia e
animação. Neste projeto além de ser possível acompanhar passo a passo a rotina de construção,
ainda é possível apreciar o resultado final com um Making of, um Teaser e um poster digital,
feitos a divulgação e marketing. Malluma é uma curta-metragem que transmite todas as
ambições que tivemos ao longo deste projeto, os nossos desastres, os nossos sucessos, a paixão
e a magia de realizá-lo, e principalmente a dor e a delícia do inesperado.
Ever since the mid-1800s the style of animation called stop motion has fascinated people around the world. Though the extinction of this technique was discussed at certain point, the style remained firm in its trajectory of hard work. The production of the animated short Malluma, is no different, it is based on this dedication to bring the project to life; with many hours of hard work and lots of patience, we thought of a story, we’ve managed to make two sets, we spent many hours of immersed work in the photography and animation routines. In this report, besides being possible to follow step by step the routine of construction, it is still possible to appreciate the final results with a Making of, a Teaser and a digital poster, all for the purpose of marketing for the movie. Malluma is a short film that conveys all the ambitions we had throughout this project, our disasters, our successes, the passion and the magic of accomplishing it, and especially the pain and the delights of the unexpected.
