A Hipertensão pulmonar abrange um espectro de doenças que envolve a vasculatura pulmonar. Define-se como o aumento da pressão arterial média superior ou igual a 25mmHg, em repouso. Segundo a World Health Organization (WHO), a Hipertensão Pulmonar está classificada em 5 grupos, que serão abordados ao longo deste trabalho. Para além da classificação, será abordado o diagnóstico da Hipertensão Pulmonar, focando-se na cateterização cardíaca direita, e as terapêuticas atualmente existentes para o tratamento desta doença.

According to World Health Organization (WHO), Pulmonary Hypertension is divided in 5 groups, that will be explored in this paper. Furthermore, I will approach the diagnostic of Pulmonary Hypertension, particularly the right heart catheterization and the management of these diseases.
