Abstract(s)
A presente dissertação tem como objetivo estudar e otimizar o desempenho de um motor
monocilíndrico aplicado a um veículo de muito baixo consumo. Assim, pretende-se
melhorar a curva do binário produzido pelo motor, bem como reduzir o seu consumo de
combustível.
Como forma de se poder cumprir esses objetivos, é necessário realizar o estudo da eficiência
volumétrica teórica do motor que servirá de ponto de partida para a componente
experimental. De seguida foram determinados os mapas de eficiência volumétrica e do
ângulo de avanço da ignição.
No final foram realizados os ensaios finais, onde se realizou a comparação entre o
desempenho do motor antes e depois das alterações feitas. A partir destes resultados
concluiu-se que a curva do binário produzido pelo motor melhorou e o consumo de
combustível foi reduzido em cerca de 43%.
This dissertation aims to study and optimize the performance of a monocylindrical engine applied to a very low consumption vehicle. Thus it is intended to improve the curve of torque produced by the engine, as well as reduce its fuel consumption. In order to fulfill these objectives, it is necessary to carry out the study of the theoretical volumetric efficiency of the engine that will serve as the starting point for the experimental component. Then the volumetric efficiency and ignition advance angle maps were determined. At the end, the final tests were performed, where the comparison between the engine performance before and after the changes made by this dissertation was performed. From these results it was concluded that the torque curve produced by the engine improved and the fuel consumption was reduced by about 43%.
