Intoxicação alcoólica aguda: casuística no serviço de Urgência Geral do Centro Hospitalar Cova da Beira, E.P.E.

| dc.description.abstract | O presente relatório de estágio é constituído por duas partes distintas. A primeira parte referente à vertente de investigação desenvolvida e a segunda diz respeito ao estágio realizado na Farmácia Costa. Em relação à vertente de investigação, o objetivo principal foi o de descrever e analisar o perfil demográfico dos doentes que dão entrada no Serviço de Urgência Geral (SUG) do Centro Hospitalar Cova da Beira (CHCB), E.P.E., por intoxicação alcoólica aguda. Para tal, foi realizado um estudo retrospetivo observacional, que incluiu doentes maiores de 18 anos, entre 1 de janeiro e 31 de dezembro de 2011. Após a seleção da amostra de interesse, constituída por 386 doentes, foram analisados os respetivos relatórios dos episódios do SUG, dos quais se obtiveram os diversos dados referentes ao doente e à sua intoxicação. Os dados recolhidos foram posteriormente submetidos ao tratamento estatístico. Durante o ano de 2011, o número de doentes que deram entrada no SUG com intoxicação alcoólica aguda representou 1,07% do total de doentes atendidos, sendo que 83% eram do sexo masculino. A média de idades foi de 41,99 (±18,18), e a maioria dos doentes proveio do concelho da Covilhã, tendo sido registada uma maior afluência ao SUG no mês de novembro. A concentração de etanol no sangue foi na maior parte dos casos superior a 0,50g/L, tendo sido prevalente o intervalo entre 2,00 e 2,50 g/L (23%). Em 32% dos doentes verificou-se regresso ao SUG por motivo de intoxicação alcoólica aguda. O tratamento administrado aos doentes foi maioritariamente de suporte, e a alta foi o principal destino dos doentes após o episódio de urgência (EU), não tendo sido verificadas mortes. O estágio em Farmácia Comunitária foi realizado na Farmácia Costa, em Belmonte, sob a orientação da Dr.a Ana Sofia Martins, farmacêutica adjunta substituta. O relatório tem como objetivo resumir as diferentes competências adquiridas ao longo deste estágio, destacando a importância do Farmacêutico Comunitário enquanto agente de saúde pública. O bom funcionamento da farmácia, enquanto espaço de saúde pública, depende de uma organização eficiente a todos os níveis, pelo que foram focados neste relatório os pontos essenciais envolvidos na sua organização. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The present work is constituted by two distinct parts. The first part refers to the investigation developed and the second part concerns the internship made at Farmácia Costa. Regarding the investigation, the main goal was to describe and analyze the demographic profile of the patients who gave entrance in the General Emergency Room of the (CHCB), E.P.E., by acute alcohol intoxication. For this, a retrospective observational study was realized, for patients older than 18 years of age, between january 1st and december 31st , 2011. After the sample selection, constituted by 386 patients, the episode reports of the General Emergency Room were analyzed and several results related to the patient and his intoxication were obtained. The collected data was then submitted to statistical treatment. During the year of 2011, the number of patients who presented to the General Emergency Room with acute alcohol intoxication represented 1,07% of the total of patients observed, and 83% of them were male. The average age was 41,99 (±18,18), and most patients came from the Covilhã county, and the greater affluence in the General Emergency Room was in november. The blood alcohol concentration was, in most cases, higher than 0,50g/L, and the prevalent gap was between 2,00 and 2,50g/L (23%). 32% of the patients have returned to the General Emergency Room with acute alcohol intoxication. The treatment administered to the patients was mainly a support treatment, and the main destiny of the patients after the emergency episode was the discharged, and no deaths were observed. The internship in community pharmacy was accomplished in Farmácia Costa, in Belmonte, under the guidance of Dr.ª Ana Sofia Martins, substitute pharmacist. The report aims to resume all of the competences acquired during the internship, highlighting the importance of the community pharmacist as a public health agent. The proper functioning of the pharmacy, as a public health area, depends on a efficient organization n in all levels, whereby focused in this report the essential topics involved in the pharmacy organization. | |
