Abstract(s)
A sintomatologia psicopatológica influência aspetos centrais
masculino e 106 do sexo feminino.
No entanto, essas diferenças
The present research studied the relationship between chronotype and psychopathological symptoms in adults. The chronotype refers to the individual preference for different times of the day to perform different routines, divided into morning, afternoon or intermediate chronotype. Psychopathological symptoms influence the main health aspects of the human being. Thus, in this study we will specifically address the symptoms of anxiety, depression and somatization. Data were collected in an online format to reach a broader and more diverse sample. In this study, we had 160 voluntary participants (N=160), of which 54 were male and 106 were female. Using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, data from a Psychopathological Symptoms Questionnaire (BSI-18) and Preferences Scale (PS-6) were analyzed. The results indicated that participants with a morning chronotype showed higher levels of anxiety, while individuals working in shifts demonstrated a tendency towards greater severity of depressive symptoms. Additionally, participants with an evening chronotype exhibited higher levels of somatization. However, these differences did not reach statistical significance. The findings suggest that the relationship between chronotype and psychopathological symptoms in adults is complex and may be influenced by contextual factors, such as the profession and its requirements and social environment.
