Quando perguntamos às nossas turmas de
arquitectura que mulheres arquitectas
conhecem, as respostas são profundamente
desencorajadoras. Se temos sorte referem Una
80 8ardi ou Zaha Hadid. Isto pode ser
considerado um bom resultado. Esta situação
não nos deveria surpreender. Só conhecemos
aquilo que nos é dado a ver, ouvir e discutir, ou
seja, o que é tornado visível e alimenta a nossa
compreensão do mundo. Será que as mulheres
arquitectas têm a visibilidade que, em certo
sentido, permitem a sua existência? [...]
