Abstract(s)
flexibilidade.

Method: This is a systematic literature review, which includes a sample of 10 articles consulted in the PubMed database and published between 2010 and 2021. Results: The results show that swimmer’s shoulder is a chronic injury that results from the practice of high-level competition swimming, in which training is strenuous, continuous, and repetitive, with the shoulder being the region of the human body most affected by the practice of this sport. The results also revealed that prevention programs are crucial to prevent this and other sports injuries that occur and affect professional swimmers, and should be specific programs, but, nevertheless, they should consider muscle strengthening and flexibility. Conclusion: It is concluded that swimmer’s shoulder is a chronic lesion to which professional swimmers are most vulnerable, and there should be specific programs for its prevention, namely, based on muscle strengthening and flexibility.
