dc.description.abstract	O principal objectivo desta dissertação é investigar sobre o tema do „enoturismo? e sobre a possibilidade deste constituir um motor de valorização do património natural. Nesse sentido, dirigimos a nossa investigação para a Região Demarcada do Douro, classificada pela UNESCO como Património Mundial da Humanidade. Uma região que representa um grande desafio para qualquer intervenção arquitectónica, não apenas por se tratar de uma região com uma topografia sinuosa e uma paisagem marcante, mas também pelo seu enorme valor natural e cultural. Assim, fazemos um levantamento geral de aspectos que nos pareceram relevantes, tais como: o turismo, à escala Mundial e à escala da Região Demarcada do Douro; A evolução histórica da região; A história do vinho e uma breve análise à arquitectura rural duriense. Como consolidação do trabalho desenvolvido, propomos uma solução de um objecto arquitectónico que constitui uma unidade hoteleira a ser integrada numa das quintas mais antigas da região do Douro, contando com um longo passado ligado à produção vinícola. Desta forma, propomos um diálogo entre história, arquitectura e paisagem, sendo estes os três principais pilares desta dissertação.	por
dc.description.abstract	The main objective of this dissertation is to explore the field of “wine tourism” and the way it contributes to promote natural heritage. To achieve this, the chosen location was the Douro Region, a UNESCO Heritage Site. This region represents a major challenge for any architectonic intervention that are intended to be conducted, as it is a region with a twisty topography, coupled with an extremely remarkable landscape. In that sense, we aim to make a general survey of the aspects that are deemed relevant, such as: tourism, from its worldwide scale to a focus on the Douro region; a revision of the historical evolution of the region, as well as the history of the wine itself and a brief analysis of the rural Douro architecture. In order to complete the present work, we propose a solution of an architectonic object that will eventually be a hotel unit to be integrated in one of the oldest estates of the Douro region, which has a rich history associated with the wine production. Thus, we propose to form a dialogue between history, architecture, and landscape, these being the three main pillars of this dissertation.	eng
