Artigo opinativo sobre o estado da arte da explicação matemática.
Após uma introdução genérica ao assunto, o artigo divide-se em duas
partes. A primeira parte é dedicada à explicação intra-matemática e
a segunda é dedicada à explicação extra- matemática. Cada uma destas partes começa por apresentar um conjunto de problemas diversos
sobre cada tipo de explicação e, seguidamente, analisam-se modelos
relevantes da literatura. A respeito da explicação intra-matemática
abordam-se os modelos das demonstrações deformáveis, das saliências matemáticas e da estrutura demonstrativa da indução matemática.
A respeito da explicação extra-matemática abordam-se os modelos da
modalidade, da abstracção e da dedução.
Opinionated state of the art paper on mathematical explanation. After a general introduction to the subject, the paper is divided into two parts. The first part is dedicated to intra-mathematical explanation and the second is dedicated to extra-mathematical explanation. Each of these parts begins to present a set of diverse problems regarding each type of explanation and, afterwards, it analyses relevant models of the literature. Regarding the intra-mathematical explanation, the models of deformable proofs, mathematical saliences and the demonstrative structure of mathematical induction are addressed.
