Abstract(s)
ambas as plataformas, atualizadas desde 2019 e destinadas à população adulta, resultando
assim em 2 apps a avaliar: a app MASK-air e a app Vivatmo.
desempenhadas quer no back office, quer no atendimento ao utente. No caso do back office,
The present dissertation is included in the Internship unit for the conclusion of the Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Beira Interior and is divided into two chapters. The first comprises the research component, consisting of a systematic review of mobile applications for the management of asthma and/or allergic rhinitis available in Portuguese. The second chapter concerns the internship report in community pharmacy at Farmácia Avenida Mais. The first chapter aimed to identify mobile applications for the management of asthma and/or allergic rhinitis available for free and in Portuguese. The search was carried out on the main mobile application platforms Apple App Store and Google Play Store with a total of 1593 apps retrieved. The selection of these applications obtained 440 apps related to the theme. Subsequently, a categorization of the apps was performed; patient education, recording symptoms, and therapy were the main objectives of the applications that are currently presented on the platforms. We selected apps freely available, that were intended for the management of asthma and/or allergic rhinitis, in Portuguese, available on both platforms, updated since 2019; two applications were obtained: MASK-air and Vivatmo. Different tools were used for evaluation: the first, developed by Sleurs et. Al in 2019, evaluates the presence of the principles of self-management of chronic respiratory diseases. The second evaluation applied the Mobile Application Rating Scale (MARS) to assess the quality of health apps. After the evaluation, it was found that no app complied with all the principles of self-management, although both obtained a good rating on the MARS scale. Globally, the top-rated application was MASK-air app. The second chapter addresses the internship carried out at the Avenida Mais pharmacy, in the Pinhais da Foz, Porto, between September 9, 2019, and January 24, 2020, describing the functions performed both in the back office and in customer service. In the case of the back office, I performed tasks of managing and receiving orders, storage, control of expiration dates, returns, price marking, prescription management, and marketing, among others. Within the scope of patient care, I performed the dispensing and counseling of medicines, health products and medical devices, performing and/or observing the available pharmaceutical services, such as the determination of biochemical parameters and administration of vaccines and injectable drugs. I would also highlight that it was possible to carry out several manipulations in the laboratory of Farmácia Sá da Bandeira, belonging to the same group as Farmácia Avenida Mais, in which I interned for a week.
