A presente dissertação constitui uma reflexão em torno da temática da arquitetura contemporânea em sítios arqueológicos. Uma questão em que não se devem isolar os elementos que constituem este património mas sim ter em conta também o ambiente em que estes se inserem. O binómio história/arquitetura assume um importante relevo que deve ser tomado em ponderação quando se intervém sobre obras preexistentes. Pretende-se promover uma reflexão teórica sobre os interfaces instituídos pela memória, identidade e património. Será investigado como esses conceitos são importantes para a valorização do património histórico. A partir dessas reflexões pretende-se identificar quais as contribuições mais plausíveis para a proposta arquitetónica. Com esta dissertação pretende-se dar a entender o que os elementos megalíticos evocam, a identidade e a memória moldável e identitária do local. Estudar várias metodologias de intervenção em contexto de elementos pré-históricos, de forma a conceber uma solução arquitetónica para um Centro de Visitantes com resposta ao programa implementado pelo concurso internacional Arkxsite, para o Cromeleque dos Almendres em Évora.
This essay is a reflection on the theme of contemporary architecture in archeological sites. A question that should not isolate the elements that constitute this heritage but also take into account the environment in which they live. The history/architecture plays an important role which must be taken into consideration when working on legacy works. It is intended to promote a theoretical reflection on the interfaces established by memory, identity and heritage. It will be investigated how these concepts are important for the development of the historical heritage. These reflections aim to identify what contribution is more plausible for the architectural proposal. This dissertation seeks to understand what the elements evoke megalithic, identity and memory, molded and the identification of the site. Studying various methods of intervention in the context of pre-historic remains, in order to devise a architectural a solution for Visitor Center with response to the program implemented by the International Contest Arkxsite, for the Almendres Cromlech in Évora.
