| dc.description.abstract | A vida quotidiana de grande parte dos indivíduos encontra-se, atualmente, constantemente ligada a tecnologias cada vez mais sofisticadas e inteligentes. Com os exponenciais avanços tecnológicos a que se tem assistido nos últimos anos, e com as apostas que têm sido realizadas em algumas áreas tecnológicas específicas, uma “convergência” da vida dos indivíduos com as tecnologias, poderá tornar-se crescente, podendo dar origem a novos desafios e riscos que podem ameaçar a vida no planeta e a própria condição humana tal como a conhecemos. Esta investigação tem como objetivo captar as perceções de tecnólogos sobre as escolhas e as consequências sociais do desenvolvimento das tecnologias associadas ao meta-humanismo e trans-humanismo. Serão abordadas questões como as relações de poder, interesses, desigualdades sociais e valores que influenciam as escolhas no processo de inovação e no uso das tecnologias, e os riscos sociais que podem advir desses desenvolvimentos tecnológicos. A metodologia utilizada foi de carácter qualitativo, tendo-se utilizado a entrevista semidiretiva como técnica de recolha de dados. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The daily life of most individuals is, nowadays, constantly connected to increasingly sophisticated and intelligent technologies. With the exponential technological advances that have taken place in recent years, and with the investment that has been made in some specific technological areas, a "convergence" of individuals' lives with technologies may become increasingly important and may give rise to new challenges and risks that could threaten life on the planet and the very human condition as we know it. This research aims to collect technologists' perceptions about the choices and social consequences of the development of technologies associated with metahumanism and trans-humanism. Issues such as power relations, interests, social inequalities, and values that influence choices in the process of innovation and the use of technologies, and the social risks that may arise from these technological developments will be addressed. The methodology used was of a qualitative nature, and the semi-directive interview was used as a data collection technique. | eng |
