Abstract(s)
especialmente no ambiente residencial.
Light is so integrated into our daily lives that we often overlook just how powerful this tool truly is. Without light, life becomes more challenging and can even cease, particularly when we consider natural sunlight. Because we are used to always having light available, we rarely pause to consider its significance for our health, well-being, and the vital role it plays in transforming spaces. A well-designed lighting plan can elevate the concept behind an architectural work, transforming spaces into something much deeper and genuine atmospheres. One of the atmospheres we interact with most frequently, often without even realizing it, is the home. A home is more than just a house; it is an extension of the people who live there. Thus, when designing a home, it’s crucial to recognize the delicacy of this type of project. Light is a key element in this process, as its various forms and characteristics can be harnessed to evoke different reactions and sensations. When properly utilized, light becomes a fundamental component in crafting the atmosphere of a home. This dissertation, therefore, explores the impact of light on the creation of atmospheres, particularly in residential settings. The study is conducted through a review of existing literature, supplemented by case studies to illustrate key concepts. Additionally, a practical study was conducted to validate the theoretical research. Based on the findings, a lighting design was developed to visually represent the investigation’s conclusions, highlighting the importance of careful and empathetic consideration when working with light, especially in such a unique and intimate environment as a person's home.
