Esta dissertação nasce de um acordo com a empresa de transportes coletivos Transdev Portugal
de forma a definir o desempenho da função manutenção. Neste tipo de empresas a correta
manutenção apresenta um papel preponderante, visto que, uma boa prestação da mesma
permite que se atinjam os objetivos predefinidos. Assim, torna-se necessário avaliar o
desempenho da função manutenção.
A filosofia Seis Sigma apresenta-se como uma filosofia de melhoria continua dentro das
organizações, sendo que Gupta a conjuga com a Business Scorecard para obter uma metodologia
que permite ao mesmo tempo avaliar e melhorar o desempenho através de indicadores. Cabrita
foca-se na área do desempenho da manutenção industrial e, ao aliar a Lean Maintenance com
a filosofia Six Sigma Business Scorecard desenvolve a Six Sigma Maintenance Scorecard.
Metodologia que servirá de base à realização deste trabalho, assim, é feita uma adaptação às
necessidades de uma empresa com a manutenção centrada numa frota de veículos. São revistos
os indicadores de desempenho e fórmulas de cálculo de modo a que seja possível determinar o
nível Seis Sigma em duas das oficinas que compõem a empresa.
Depois de calculado, permite uma comparação direta de desempenho, mas também perceber
em que tipo de indicadores cada uma das oficinas falha e deve melhorar. Deste modo aparece
o processo de melhoria contínua que leva os indicadores a serem revistos de forma gradual para
que o seu rácio melhore e, consequentemente, o nível Sigma.
This master’s thesis was developed in cooperation with a collective transport company, Transdev Portugal. In this type of business maintenance has a massive role, as a good implementation leads to the achievement of the goals. For this purpose, maintenance performance must be evaluated. Six sigma philosophy can be presented as a continuous improvement inside an organization. For Gupta, combining it with the Business Scorecard provides a methodology that allows both to evaluate and improve performance through performance indicators. Cabrita's work emphasizes industrial maintenance performance and, when combined with Lean Maintenance and the six sigma philosophy Business Scorecard, creates a Six sigma maintenance scorecard. This methodology will be the basis for this master thesis. Thus, in this case, an adjustment will be made to the requirements of a company with maintenance focused on a fleet of vehicles. Performance indicators and calculation routines will also be analysed to determine the sixsigma level of maintenance function in two different facilities belonging to the same company. A comparison of both performances will be accomplished, six sigma level and maintenance indicators will be compared, so it will be possible to determine potential improvements.
