Abstract(s)
A Supervisão Pedagógica é uma atividade desempenhada pelo supervisor pedagógico que tem a
função de controlar, orientar, avaliar, coordenar e supervisionar as ações pedagógicas nas
escolas. De um modo geral, o supervisor é um profissional da educação que ajuda ou auxilia o
professor menos experiente e menos competente, para poder trabalhar de forma eficiente no
processo de ensino e aprendizagem. É uma entidade dotado de conhecimento, experiência,
habilidade, atitude e inteligência para gerir e acompanhar o processo pedagógico.
O trabalho que aqui se apresenta procura compreender as perceções de professores do Colégio
Nº228 do Chiweca sobre o papel do Supervisor Pedagógico no desenvolvimento profissional
docente. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo realizado através de entrevistas junto de vinte
professores e três inspetores da Educação.
A análise, e consequentemente discussão e conclusão dos dados corroboram a literatura e a
experiência empírica da área. Está claro no discurso dos participantes de que a Supervisão
Pedagógica é uma atividade importante na melhoria e superação das dificuldades dos
professores e equipa técnica do processo de ensino e aprendizagem assumindo o supervisor um
papel determinante na profissionalização docente.
Este estudo alerta-nos para a necessidade de promover um ensino de qualidade considerando
a figura do Supervisor um dos indicadores, sendo fundamental a sua presença nas escolas do
1.ºciclo do ensino secundário e, em particular, no contexto de investigação deste trabalho:
Colégio Nº228 do Chiweca.
Pedagogical Supervision is an activity performed by the pedagogical supervisor who has the function of controlling, guiding, evaluating, coordinating and supervising pedagogical actions in schools. In general, the supervisor is an education professional who helps or assists the less experienced and less competent teacher, to be able to work efficiently in the teaching and learning process. Is an entity endowed with knowledge, experience, ability, attitude and intelligence to manage and follow the pedagogical process. The work presented here seeks to understand the perceptions of teachers of the Chiweca College No. 228 on the role of the Pedagogical Supervisor in professional teacher development. This is a qualitative study conducted through interviews with twenty teachers and three Education inspectors. The analysis, and consequently discussion and conclusion of the data corroborate the literature and the empirical experience of the area. It is clear in the participants' discourse that Pedagogical Supervision is an important activity in the improvement and overcoming of the difficulties of the teachers and the thecnical professionals of the teaching and learning process, assuming the supervisor, a determinant role in the teacher professionalization. This study alerts us to the need to promote a quality education considering the figure of the Supervisor, being essential its presence in the schools of the 1st cycle of secondary education and in the research context of this work: Chiweca College No. 228, in particular.
