Abstract(s)
The project chosen was "Sopé", aimed at the ceramics area, which was born with the aim of stimulating an emotional relationship between the product and the user, breaking consumerism and supported by sustainability. Eight ceramic set pieces were designed: soup plate, dinner plate, dessert plate, cereal bowl, small bowl, mug, coffee cup and saucer. This project's approach is based on research and development inspired by biomimicry, seeking innovative solutions inspired by patterns and processes found in nature. We started with a literature review by researching books, articles, magazines and interviews, which served as context and foundation. Then, based on the working methodology of Naoto Fukasawa, who, after extensive research, begins by creating quick sketches to capture the initial ideas, refining the drawings until they reach more elaborate stages, constantly improving until the final concept is achieved. Subsequently, the set was defined dimensionally, modeling was carried out and detail was created, which gave rise to the relief of the pieces. Finally, it was decided to render the entire set, to give it a look closer to reality, before prototyping it. This project seeks to create a collection of products for everyday use, bringing together family, friends, and acquaintances around one of the most significant parts of the day: the meal - synonymous with union, sharing and feeling.
