Abstract(s)
fundamentos teóricos presentes no artigo.
This dissertation is part of the project “Psychopathological Symptomatology and working memory”, conducted in Portugal, whose general objective is to evaluate how psychopathological symptoms such as anxiety and depression relate to changes in working memory. This will be presented in the format of a scientific article written in Portuguese. The specific objective of this study is to assess whether the levels of depressive symptoms have an impact on the performance of the episodic buffer subcomponent of working memory. This study can be classified as experimental/quasiexperimental, since it allows the determination of an object of study, the selection of variables capable of influencing it, the definition of forms of control and observation of the effects that each variable produces on the study object. For data collection, measures such as the Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI) and the sociodemographic questionnaire were used. With a total of 111 participants, their ages are between 18 and 52 years old, and the average age is 23.4. More than half of the participants are female (71.2%) and 28.8% are male. In addition to the scientific article, this dissertation also includes a broader theoretical framework, in which all concepts related to working memory, depressive symptoms and the relationship between these two conceptualizations are explored in more detail. to deepen and consolidate the theoretical foundations present in the article.
