| dc.description.abstract | O presente relatório descreve a experiência vivida e obtida ao longo dos quatro meses em que foi realizado o estágio curricular na unidade de investigação LabCom – Comunicação e Artes, integrada na Faculdade de Artes e Letras da Universidade da Beira Interior. O estágio teve como objetivo não só adquirir novos conhecimentos e metodologias num ambiente profissional e com rotinas de trabalho bem definidas, mas também aperfeiçoar os conhecimentos teóricos e práticos obtidos durante a formação académica prévia, de modo a desenvolver projetos que, se possível, pudessem vir a ser aplicados e implementados em contexto real. A interação com pessoas mais experientes, nomeadamente com as designers Sara Constante (coordenadora do estágio no local) e Cristina Lopes, acabou por contribuir positivamente não só para a evolução pessoal do estagiário, mas também para a aquisição de uma visão mais objetiva do mundo do design. Apesar de, no seu conjunto, o estágio ter envolvido a realização de um conjunto de tarefas distintas e, devido a múltiplas circunstâncias, de caráter algo disperso, o principal projeto a que o estagiário se dedicou esteve relacionado com a aprendizagem e aplicação de normas gráficas editoriais envolvidas no processo de edição e paginação de um livro, tendo como referência geral o contexto da prolífica Editora On-line Livros LabCom. Este projeto tratou-se, no entanto, de um exercício criativo independente das normas previamente definidas sob a orientação do Prof. Doutor Francisco Paiva, que têm vindo a ser aplicadas nas coleções que constituem o acervo da Editora e que foram uma fonte de aprendizagem. O exercício teve como objetivo levar ao concreto os conceitos pesquisados. Este relatório procura dar conta da experiência em que o estágio consistiu no seu todo, configurando-se igualmente como uma oportunidade para, por um lado, à distância e com maior perspetiva, refletir sobre a mesma e, por outro, consolidar os conhecimentos adquiridos sobre Design Gráfico e Editorial, aprofundando importantes conceitos desenvolvidos por autores de referência. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The current report describes the experience obtained throughout the four months which have encompassed the internship at the research unit LabCom — Communication and Arts, integrated at University of Beira Interior’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The internship’s main purpose was not only to acquire new knowledge and methodologies in a professional environment, with well-defined working routines, but also to perfect the theoretical and practical learnings obtained during the previous academic path, as well as to be able to undertake projects that could be applied and implemented in a real context. The interaction with more experienced people, such as the designers Sara Constante (the internship’s internal coordinator) and Cristina Lopes, would be a positive contribution, as much to the intern’s personal development as to achieve a more objective view of the world of design. Although the internship ended up comprising several different and, due to multiple circumstances, somewhat disperse tasks, the main project to which the intern was able to dedicate himself included learning and applying the graphic and editorial standards involved in the process of creating a book. The general reference of this project was the prolific online Editor LabCom Books. It was, however, an independent creative exercise, particularly when considering the editorial norms previously developed under the supervision of Professor Francisco Paiva, which are being applied to the collections of LabCom Books, although they were certainly a source of learning. The goal of this exercise was to apply and concretize the researched concepts. This report aims to account for the internship’s experience in its entirety, presenting itself as well as an opportunity to, on the one hand, at a distance and with more perspective, reflect about it, and, on the other hand, to consolidate the acquired knowledge about Graphic and Editorial Design, examining important concepts developed by reference authors. | eng |
