Abstract(s)
Esta dissertação empreende uma investigação teórica e exploratória para compreender o impacto
da concepção de ambientes virtuais na percepção gustativa durante videoconferências,
inspirando-se na proximidade gerada pelos videojogos. O estudo envolveu a representação
minuciosa de cenários reais e a criação de ambientes virtuais baseados em pesquisas específicas.
Adicionalmente, foram introduzidos ambientes placebo, sem correlação alimentar, e ambientes
de videojogos. O escopo da pesquisa está ligado à identificação e análise detalhada de elementos
visuais e interativos presentes em ambientes virtuais, com o objetivo precípuo de estabelecer uma
consonância sensorial específica com determinados tipos de alimentos. Com isto, o experimento
envolveu a apresentação desses ambientes aos participantes, seguida por respostas a formulários
acerca da experiência. O objetivo central foi identificar elementos visuais e interativos em
ambientes virtuais, estabelecendo uma consonância sensorial com tipos específicos de alimentos.
Ao abordar a convergência entre design virtual e experiência gastronômica, a pesquisa busca
fornecer resultados para a criação de ambientes digitais que potencializem a apreciação sensorial
de refeições específicas. Essa abordagem tem como propósito preencher uma lacuna no
entendimento da interseção entre design virtual, experiência do utilizador e vivências
gastronômicas.
This dissertation undertakes a theoretical and exploratory investigation to understand the impact of the design of virtual environments on taste perception during videoconferences, drawing inspiration from the proximity generated by video games. The study involved the detailed representation of real scenarios and the creation of virtual environments based on specific research. Additionally, placebo environments, without food correlation, and video game environments were introduced. The scope of the research is intrinsically linked to the identification and detailed analysis of visual and interactive elements present in virtual environments, with the primary objective of establishing a specific sensorial consonance with certain types of food. Therefore, the experiment involved the presentation of these environments to participants, followed by responses to forms about the experience. The central objective was to identify visual and interactive elements in virtual environments, establishing a sensorial consonance with specific types of food. By addressing the convergence between virtual design and gastronomic experience, the research seeks to provide results for the creation of digital environments that enhance the sensorial appreciation of specific meals. This approach aims to fill a gap in understanding the intersection between virtual design, user experience and gastronomic experiences.
