| dc.description.abstract | De volta à origem tem como objetivo ser uma reflexão da forma como a memória termal envolve o espaço levando a um exercício de projeto de reabilitação das Termas da Touca, localizadas em Alpedrinha, no concelho do Fundão. Neste estudo pretende-se salientar a identidade do local e conjugar os conhecimentos adquiridos através da investigação da espacialidade das termas. A viabilidade deste projeto assenta em diversos fatores, entre os quais o estudo do panorama do termalismo em Portugal e o potencial turístico dos locais envolventes. A importância crescente do turismo de saúde e bem-estar é notória, tendo as estâncias termais vindo a constituir-se como polos de desenvolvimento das regiões em que se inserem, criando novas condições, com a melhoria implícita da vida dos residentes permanentes. Nesse sentido o trabalho inicia-se pela revisão teórica das termas reabilitação, património, termalismo e turismo termal em Portugal, a breve análise de alguns complexos termais nacionais e internacionais relevantes para o caso, finalizando com a proposta de reabilitação das Termas da Touca. Nesse sentido, dada a crescente importância que o termalismo assume devido aos novos modos de vida das sociedades modernas é apresentada uma proposta de reabilitação arquitetónica das Termas de Touca, reconvertida às necessidades atuais, que se afirma como um contributo promotor de desenvolvimento da região e ao mesmo tempo fator para a permanência da população desta localidade. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Back to the origin it aims to be a reflection of the way thermal memory surrounds the space leading to an exercise in the project of rehabilitation of Termas da Touca, located in Alpedrinha, in the municipality of Fundão. This study aims to highlight the identity of the place and combine the knowledge acquired through the investigation of the spa's spatiality. The feasibility of this project is based on several factors, including the study of the panorama of thermalism in Portugal and the tourist potential of the surrounding areas. The growing importance of health and well-being tourism is well-known, with the spa resorts becoming constituted as centers of development of the regions in which they operate, creating conditions for their development, with the implicit improvement of the living conditions of the permanent residents. In this sense, the work begins with the theoretical review of the thermal rehabilitation, heritage, thermalism and thermal tourism in Portugal, the brief analysis of some national and international thermal complexes relevant to the case, ending with the proposal for the rehabilitation of Termas da Touca. In this sense, given the growing importance that thermalism assumes due to the new ways of life of modern societies, a proposal for the architectural rehabilitation of Termas de Touca is reconverted to current needs, which is affirmed as a contribution that promotes the development of the region and at the same time factor for the permanence of the population of this locality. | eng |
