A presente investigação, realizada no âmbito do curso de Mestrado em Estudos Didáticos, Culturais, Linguísticos e Literários, descreve as caraterísticas sintáticas do Português e do Kimbundu em Angola, a fim de se colocar à disposição da comunidade académica e social de Angola um trabalho que contribua para a elaboração de políticas linguísticas com base em pesquisas empíricas.
As metodologias qualitativa e quantitativa fizeram com que se observasse que, em matéria sintática, o Português e o Kimbundu são línguas afins na ordem básica dos constituintes, que é o SVO e diferentes nas propriedades de representação do sujeito e do objeto direto, na regência dos verbos dinâmicos e volitivos e na marcação da posteridade.
The present research, carried out in the framework of the Master's course in Didactic, Cultural, Linguistic and Literary Studies, describes the syntactic characteristics of Portuguese and Kimbundu in Angola to make available to the academic and social community of Angola a work that contributes for the development of linguistic policies based on empirical research. The qualitative and quantitative methodologies have made it possible to observe that in Portuguese, Kimbundu are related languages in the basic order of constituents, which is the SVO and different in the properties of representation of the subject and the direct object, in the Dynamic and volitive verbs and in the marking of posterity.
