Abstract(s)
This study aims to analyze if the organizational productivity is related to performance, well-being and employee satisfaction, as well as the identification of workers and employers perceptions about the influence that corporate wellness programs may have on improving organizational productivity. The sample consisted of 202 workers and 17 employers of organizations / companies in the public and private sector in Portugal. Through an exploratory factor analysis was identified five factors, which have items related to the performance, health and satisfaction. Through an analysis of Pearson correlation it was possible to identify a relationship between these variables. In addition, can be verified that the workers consider that their productivity would increase if the organization / company provides a physical activity program. Although the employers admit that the implementation would increase the productivity of workers, there is no consensus in their opinion if this measure would be the company's competence. In conclusion, this work suggests that the inclusion of workplace exercise programs enables organizations to apply the inherent values to the principles of corporate social responsibility, thus strengthening the ties of its employees with the entity. This type of program, in addition to allow an improvement of physical condition and increase levels of workers overall satisfaction, can result in increased productivity and a sustainable production record.
