Abstract(s)
doenças do coração);
- Glicose (dada a elevada incidência da diabetes e das suas complicações);
para saber como se encontra o aporte de oxigénio);
por exemplo para despistar infeções ativas);
The present work consists in the use of a physiological parameters monitoring device installed in the mobile unit of Mutualista Covilhanense that makes visits to the home of users. It aims to improve the follow-up of these and ideally should improve the quality of the data being collected. This data is processed immediately by the computer system that issues an alert to the doctor about the individuals potentially at increased risk and in need of a closer monitoring. On the other hand it facilitates the quicker establishment of a diagnosis by the physician, resulting in referral to a specialist consultation, for example. The device used will be an application that controls the equipment. This equipment records the measured values when visiting the patient’s home, such as: - Blood pressure and heart rate (which are very important for screening for heart disease); - Glucose (given the high frequency of onset of diabetes and its complications); - SpO2 (measurement with oximeter in the finger to evaluate the oxygenation of the blood, it is important to know how the oxygen supply is); - Temperature (some diseases can cause the temperature to change, being important for example to miss active infections); - Weight (due to the increase in obesity and the worrying of associated diseases). These data will be processed and analyzed based on an algorithm that will select the cases that in the opinion of the researchers represent an increased risk and need immediate attention while avoiding overloading the doctor with unnecessary alerts.
