Abstract(s)
Thermal changes in specific regions of the human body have been used over the years as an indicator for the diagnosis of various pathologies. In this way, numerous techniques have been developed to detect this temperature differential. After this, it is necessary to know how to interpret these results, making a correlation between them and the functional performance of the regions of interest (ROI). Infrared Thermography is a technique that allows identifying these thermal variations of several regions, building a thermal image of the surface temperature distribution of an object. In this work, it was intended to demonstrate, through this technique, the thermal register of the specific ROI of Futsal athletes. For this, a training/play was carried out, making the thermographic recording in 3 different moments. Before the training, after the training and 20 hours after the training. This ensured a thermal analysis of the behavior of specific regions and how they behave in that regard after a sport and also how they recover thermally 20 hours after the exercise. After collecting the thermal images, it was necessary to build an algorithm, through the Matlab tool, so that it limits the thermal images to the desired ROI and from there, it was possible to extract all the desired variables, including the construction of BoxPlots, for the subsequent analysis of results. With this, it was intended to demonstrate the capabilities of this technique, combined with the sports component, so that it can take advantage, in practical terms, of the thermal analysis of athletes.
