Abstract(s)
Participaram no programa 36
A intervenção do programa
(Sit and Stand Test e 1RM Leg press), força muscular dos membros superiores
(lançamento da bola medicinal e da avaliação do 1RM Chest Press) e o VO2 máximo
(protocolo de Balke modificado. Foi possível identificar a existência de diferenças
estatisticamente significativas, pois em todas as variáveis o p < 0,05. Analisando as
This document was carried out within the framework of the Dissertation/Internship Course of the 2nd cycle of studies in Sport Sciences, Exercise and Health branch, at the University of Beira Interior (UBI). The internship was carried out in the context of the MAMA_MOVE program (a program aimed at improving physical fitness (PA) and quality of life in cancer survivors) in the academic year 2021/2022 and comprises two chapters: 1st - Intervention and activities developed around throughout the internship; 2ndIncitement to scientific research: Evaluation of the effect of an exercise program on PA in breast cancer survivors. 36 individuals participated in the program. All activities carried out were aimed at attracting more participants and giving visibility to the MAMA_MOVE program. The program intervention took place twice a week and lasted 50 minutes over 16 weeks. Pre-post PA components were evaluated: grip strength (SAEHAN portable digital dynamometer), lower limb muscle strength (Sit and Stand Test and 1RM Leg press), upper limb muscle strength (throwing the medicine ball and 1RM Chest Press) and VO2 max (modified Balke protocol). It was possible to identify the existence of statistically significant differences, since p < 0.05 in all variables. Analyzing the pre and post test averages we can observe a significant increase in the average in all collected values.
