Abstract(s)
requisitos do consumidor contemporâneo.
The aim of this project is to highlight a relationship between what characterizes the contemporary consumer and art as a response to these characteristics, through the development of a fashion collection inspired by an artistic period. The contemporary consumer is considered hedonistic as he finds himself in a tireless search for pleasure. He shows satisfaction in the momentary impulses, yearning for emotional experiences and differentiated sensations. Above all, the contemporary consumer wants to feel unique. This feeling reveals that the consumer is looking for his identity and acceptance by the other. He is inserted in an environment with frustrations and conflicts, ending up using the consumerism as a distraction. Fashion, in this case, speaking more concretely about clothing, is one of the visible forms of consumption and, considered a visual language reflecting on individual and collective socioeconomic aspects, considered a social phenomenon of identification and expression. As such, based on the fact that contemporary consumer desire to feel exclusive, showing interest in unique experiences that can cause him feelings, this project presents a collection inspired by art as a response to the profile of the contemporary consumer, because art is always created with the intention of awakening some type of feeling in the observer, being also, in a way, unique. Based on an in-depth study of different project methodologies about design by three different authors, a project methodology was adapted for the development of this project, considering the specificity of fashion design. In the data collection phase, the reading and treatment of the bibliography present in this project allowed an understanding of the evolution of fashion design as well as of the consumer. To this knowledge was added the analysis of cases where fashion designers carried out works based on art. The contribution of this project to the theme under study was the development of a conceptual ready-to-wear collection of 16 coordinates with artistic influences, namely Greek Art. Of the 16 coordinates proposed, 1 was made, the one that most characterizes the collection. With the development of the project and the making of the coordinate, as a proof of concept, it was possible to contribute to the demonstration of a proposal for a collection whose theme falls within the requirements of the contemporary consumer.
