Vinculação e estratégias de coping em toxicodependentes e população normativa: um estudo comparativo

| dc.description.abstract | O presente estudo tem como objectivos verificar a existência de diferenças significativas entre a população normativa e toxicodependente, a nível da vinculação e estratégias de coping, procurando, ainda, verificar se as dimensões que compõem estas variáveis se correlacionam. Para tal, foram utilizados o Attachment Style Questionaire (Feeney, Noller & Hanrahan, 1994), adaptado à população portuguesa por Carrinho & Pereira (2009) e o Inventário de Resolução de Problemas (Vaz Serra, 1987). Participaram neste estudo 133 sujeitos, com idades compreendidas entre os 21 e os 61 anos. Observaram-se diferenças significativas na vinculação ao nível das dimensões “confiança” e “preocupação com as relações” e nas dimensões “pedido de ajuda” e “auto-responsabilização e medo das consequências” ao nível das estratégias de coping. Na amostra normativa, a dimensão “confiança” correlacionou-se de forma positiva com as dimensões “controlo interno/externo dos problemas” e “estratégias de controlo das emoções”. As dimensões relacionadas com a vinculação ansiosa correlacionaram-se negativamente com as dimensões “controlo interno/externo dos problemas”, “confronto e resolução activa dos problemas” e “confronto do problema e planificação da estratégia”. | dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the present study is to verify the existence of significant differences between the normative and addicted population, regarding attachment and coping strategies. In addition, it is verified whether the dimensions that comprise these variables are correlated. For such, were used the Attachment Style Questionnaire (Feeney, Noller & Hanrahan, 1994), adapted to the portuguese population by Carrinho & Pereira (2009) and the Inventory of Problem Solving (Vaz Serra, 1987). In this study participated 133 subjects, aged between 21 and 61 years. We observed significant differences in attachment at the level of the dimensions "trust" and "concern with the relations" and in the "request assistance" and "self-accountability and fear of the consequences" at the level of coping strategies. In the normative sample, the dimension "trust" correlated positively with the dimensions "control internal/external problems" and "strategies for the control of emotions". The dimensions related to the anxious attachment correlated negatively with the dimensions "control internal/external problems", "confrontation and resolution of problems" and "confrontation of the problem and planning of the strategy".
