Abstract(s)
Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a estratégia de recursos humanos no desenvolvimento de capacidades nas empresas a partir da resource-based view (RBV). Neste sentido, foi feita uma revisão da literatura sobre os estudos relativos à RBV, principais contribuições e desenvolvimentos da teoria, dado que a RBV tem tido um grande interesse no pensamento estratégico e conhecimento organizacional, como sendo um recurso estratégico de vantagem competitiva sustentável.
Para alcançar o objectivo de estudo foi adotada uma metodologia qualitativa por meio do estudo de caso múltiplos em empresas multinacionais. Os dados foram recolhidos através visitas às empresas, de entrevistas semi-estruturadas com questões abertas e observação directa, sendo posteriormente analisados e tratados com o apoio do software WebQDA de forma a combinar os métodos qualitativos usados para a validez e confiabilidade da investigação na questão de analisar e mensurar a importância dos recursos e capacidades, sob uma perspetiva estratégica das empresa como factores de diferenciação e vantagem competitiva.
Os resultados demonstraram que as empresas geram vantagem competitiva através do capital humano, quando implementadas estrategicamente as práticas de Gestão de Recursos Humanos (GRH) distintas, por se tratar de um processo de longo prazo e difícil a imitação, tendo influência direta no processo de vantagem competitiva sustentável.
This study aims to analyse the strategy of human resources capacity in companies’ capacities development from the resource-based view (RBV). In this regard, a literature review of RBV, main contributions and development of the theory was made, since the RBV has had a keen interest in strategic thinking and organizational knowledge as a strategic resource of sustainable competitive advantage. To achieve the objective of the study a qualitative methodology was adopted by the multiple case studies in multinational corporations. Data were collected through visits to companies, semistructured interviews with open questions and direct observation, and subsequently analysed and addressed with the support of software WebQDA to combine qualitative methods used for the validity and reliability of the research relating to analysis and measure the importance of resources and capabilities, under a strategic perspective of the company as factors of differentiation and competitive advantage. The results evidenced that firms generate competitive advantage through human capital, when strategically implemented the practices of Human Resources Management (HRM) distinct, because it is a long-term process and difficult to imitate having direct influence in the process of sustainable competitive advantage.
