Abstract(s)
A presente dissertação visa compreender as metodologias adoptadas no
desenvolvimento das cidades Portuguesas. Aspira-se criar uma base de trabalho
que possibilite definir directrizes normalizadas, para que, se tomem medidas
sustentáveis na requalificação das mesmas.
A análise geral de cidades como Aveiro, Coimbra, Viseu e Covilhã,
permite observar que, de uma forma ou de outra, todas sucumbem a processos
normativos que, apesar de serem opções primárias, há muito provaram a sua
inaptidão em proporcionar salubridade às cidades em questão de acordo com a
actual realidade urbana.
Para encontrar uma solução mais viável procedeu-se a uma pesquisa
elaborada que permitiu analisar exemplos variados de recuperação e
requalificação à escala Urbana e do Edifício. Pelo que, subsequentemente, se
apresentam algumas das soluções mais ecológicas e sustentáveis disponíveis no
mercado nacional e internacional.
O caso de estudo incide sobre a cidade da Covilhã. Esta é uma cidade
envelhecida com um número insólito de edificações devolutas. Sendo assim
evidente a urgência em recuperar e requalificar esta cidade para fazer frente às
presentes necessidades. A informação recolhida e catalogada permite
compreender a importância em reestruturar as edificações sem, no entanto, criar
infra-estruturas novas.
A análise da actualidade urbana e das soluções disponíveis no mercado
permite adoptar uma posição consciente de foro sustentável que salienta a
necessidade em atender às necessidades humanas respeitando o meio ambiente.
Pretende-se alertar para a construção excessiva e para a real capacidade em
renovar as cidades quando se tem o conhecimento tecnológico e se vai ao
encontro da população.
The following dissertation intends to comprehend the adopted methodologies in the development of Portuguese cities. The creation of a base of work, which helps to define directive norms, is intended, in order to adopt a sustainable approach in cities requalification. The general analysis of cities such as Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra, Viseu and Covilhã allows, in one-way or another, to observe that all fall in normative processes and even though they are primary options long ago have them proven its inaptitude in attributing salubrity to those same cities giving its urban reality. To find a more viable solution an elaborated research was conducted. It permitted analyse several examples of recuperation and requalification at building and urban scale. For which, subsequently, some of the most ecological and sustainable solutions available in the national and international market are presented. The case study falls upon the city of Covilhã. It is an aged city with an incredible number of vacant buildings. The urgency of recuperation and requalification to face the needs is evident. The analysed information helps understanding the importance in reorganizing the urban structure without building more and more. The analysis of the urban situation and of the available solutions on the market induces a conscious position in a sustainable way that enhances the necessity in answering the human needs respecting the environment. It is intended to alert for the excessive construction and for the real capacity in renovating the cities when you have technological knowledge and try to meet the population’s needs.
