Abstract(s)
O acidente vascular cerebral constitui uma das principais causas de morbimortalidade nos
países ocidentais. O seu impacto no Sistema Nervoso Autónomo e o deste nos restantes
sistemas do organismo têm vindo a ser estudadas ao longo das últimas décadas.
O objectivo do presente trabalho passa por conhecer as alterações existentes no
funcionamento do sistema cardiovascular após um AVC, compreender a génese dessas
alterações e conhecer os métodos que permitem chegar às conclusões apresentadas. Além
disso são, também, apresentadas as consequências patológicas dessas alterações e algumas
perspectivas em relação a possíveis terapêuticas.
Para a elaboração desse trabalho foi efectuada uma pesquisa e revisão de literatura médica
disponível em bases de dados electrónicas.

Beyond that are also presented pathological consequences of these changes and some perspectives of possible therapeutics. A survey and review of available medical literature was performed on electronical database.
