Abstract(s)
A competição global constitui um fator condicionador das estratégias de gestão adotadas pelas organizações/empresas no sentido de conseguir vantagem competitiva e, consequentemente, garantir a sua sustentabilidade. Aspetos direta ou indiretamente relacionados com Qualidade, Ambiente e Segurança e a Certificação têm vindo a assumir particular significado na afirmação das organizações/empresas no mercado, pelo que se compreende que estas tenham vindo a promover a integração de Sistemas de Qualidade, Ambiente e Saúde e Segurança no Trabalho, colhendo os benefícios daí resultantes.
O estudo, que incidiu sobre apenas uma empresa recorrendo a uma metodologia de caráter qualitativo, visa analisar e explicar/justificar a opção pela implementação do Sistema de Gestão Integrado e inferir do seu impacto no sucesso da empresa.
Os resultados mostram que a estratégia constituiu verdadeira mais-valia, permitindo atingir níveis mais elevados de desempenho e o consequente reforço da posição da empresa no mercado.
The global competition is a conditioning factor of the management strategies adopted by the organizations/companies in the sense of achieving competitive advantage and, consequently, guaranteeing their sustainability. Aspects directly or indirectly related with Quality, Environment and Safety and the certification have been assuming a particular significance in the promotion of the organizations/companies in the market. For that reason we can understand that they have been promoting the integration of Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Systems and obtaining the consequent benefits. This study, analyzed only one company making use of qualitative methodology. It aims at analyzing, explaining and justifying the option for the implementation of an Integrated Management System and studying its impact in the success of the company. Results show that the strategy constitutes a true plus value, allowing the attainment of higher levels of performance and the consequently reinforcing of the position of the company in the market.
